KLM - Connecting Seats

An interactive installation that breaks down language barriers in real-time to enable people from all over the world to connect in a whole new way. 'Connecting Seats' integrated the power of Google's Cloud Speech and Translation API's with furniture design.

The seats were specially designed for travellers at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The translations worked with Google's Cloud Speech API, Translation API and Web Speech API.
